More Tesla models are being probed by U.S. vehicle safety regulators following up on consumer complaints.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is investigating 2022 and 2023 Model X SUVs’ seat belts around complaints that they weren’t adequately connected to the seat frames.

Two complaints allege that the seat belts detached when the vehicle was in motion. Neither incident involved a crash.

The NHTSA’s investigation encompasses about 50,000 vehicles.

It adds to already ongoing probes of Tesla models over steering wheels detaching in some and front suspension failure in others.

Depending on the outcome of the investigations, the federal agency could issue recalls of the models.
