COSTA MESA, Calif. - NADAguides awarded the 2011 Buick Regal its September "Car of the Month" based on the vehicle's innovative technology, increased power and MPG, and its revolutionizing effect for the brand.

Royal, majestic, kingly, magnificent and imperial are all words associated with Regal; and NADAguides said Buick did not disappoint.

"The all-new 2011 Buick Regal has no trouble living up to its name, providing a sneak peek of where the Buick legacy is headed," said Don Christy, Jr., president of NADAguides. "The 2011 Buick Regal is changing the way consumers perceive Buick vehicles and the brand is making a statement with this vehicle: everything you need and want for a very affordable price."

The 2011 Buick Regal is priced at $26,245.

"Market interest in the 2011 Buick Regal, compared to its closest competitor models from Audi, Lexus and BMW, has risen sharply according to NADAguides website traffic patterns," Christy added. "This follows sales with Buick currently leading the auto industry with the largest increase in sales - a 48 percent change in new-vehicle sales from early 2009 to early 2010. Also impressive is that over the last couple of years, Buick has actually decreased its average total incentive spending while still increasing sales."

The 2011 Regal is powered by a 182 HP direct-injection 2.4-liter Ecotec four-cylinder engine that achieves an estimated 20 MPG in the city and 30 MPG on the highway. Buick will also offer a 220 HP 2.0-liter Ecotec turbocharged engine on the Regal CXL Turbo model later this year. The 6-speed automatic transmission and Driver Shift Control make switching between manual and automatic modes just an exciting tap away. The Four-Link Independent Rear Suspension is designed to decrease the weight of the car and enhance response, providing a smooth ride "fit for a king."
