SUV Named Women’s Car of the Year

Judges chose the EV9 for its user-friendliness, innovative design, family-oriented interior, comfort and spaciousness.

A Kia sports-utility vehicle has been named the best 2024 car for women.

The three-row EV9 topped all other models to receive Women’s Worldwide Car of the Year “supreme” designation. The organization made its choice after 75 female automotive journalists in 52 countries evaluated the options.

The research included assessments of safety, quality, price, design, driving ease and environmental impact.

The organization’s other 2024 picks are:

  • Family Car: Volvo EX30

  • Large Car: BMW 5 Series

  • 4-by-4 and Pickup: Volkswagen Amarok

  • Exclusive Car: Aston Martin DB12

The South Korean automaker’s EV was chosen due to its user-friendliness, innovative design, family-oriented interior, comfort and spaciousness.

“The Kia EV9 has won out over its rivals because it is a vehicle capable of satisfying the needs of consumers everywhere,” said the organization’s executive president, Marta Garcia.

Kia America COO and Executive Vice President Steven Center said of the award, “The EV9’s cutting-edge design, state-of-the art technology, and versatility reflect Kia’s commitment to advancing the ownership experience.”
