Bobit Dealer Group at its recent Agent Summit in Las Vegas honored three men as the first inductees to its F&I Hall of Fame.

Larry Dorfman, Arden Hetland and David Robertson received the awards in a summit ceremony at the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas.

  • Dorfman, who once described himself as an “agent at heart,” founded finance-and-insurance product provider APCO Holdings Inc. - EasyCare in 1984.

  • Hetland was president and CEO of American Financial & Automotive Services and American Financial Warranty Corp. He was also a founding member of the Association of Finance and Insurance Professionals. After college, he entered the retail car business and then transferred into the finance-and-insurance business.

  • Robertson, a founding member and chairman of the Association of Finance & Insurance Professionals, started his automotive career in 1971 as a car salesman in Colorado. He founded or led several other companies and still serves as an industry consultant.

Tony Wanderon, CEO of APCO Holdings, suggested the hall of fame to Bobit Dealer Group President David Gesualdo.

In presenting the awards, Wanderon said the honorees are models of how to do business the right way. His fellow awards presenter, Ron Reahard, president of Reahard & Associates, said all three “have tried consistently to make our industry better.”

Event organizers also recognized the sponsors of the 2024 F&I Hall of Fame, APCO Holdings, Aura and Mosaic, for their contributions in making the honoree ceremony possible.

"We owe a great deal of thanks to Mosaic, Aura and APCO, as their participation allowed us to curate a trip and ceremony worthy of the three men honored this year," said Gesualdo.
